Incredible camera dictionary
This is an application the will translate one language to another by viewing the text in real life via the camera. I am so shocked that this is possible and am extremely impressed by this technology. I was able to point the camera at Japanese and it showed me the translation without me having to enter stroke order or have any kind of knowledge.
For someone who travels or is learning a language, this can be seriously useful and save a lot of time. For example, if you are in Tokyo, this could translate street signs or food items on a menu. How incredible is that!
There are a few minor flaws, such as not the greatest selection of languages to choose from. Luckily, for more “obscure” languages, there are ones available for an additional purchase. This is strange since the app is pretty pricey already. Also, when selecting things, such as languages, there Is no “done” button. Sometimes I found myself confused how to confirm a change with various options because of this. So not the most user friendly app out there, but an incredible advancement in technology that I highly recommend for anyone – there is a free version to try!
